When you are sick, think of others. When you are well, think of others. By sheer numbers they are more important thus us. This does not diminish our value. Rather, it enhances their value. Through love and compassion it enhances our value. There is so much ongoing suffering in the world, the full extent of which is not seen. The Buddha was right. The nature of unenlightened existence is suffering. Our job is to recognize this, overcome it, and guide others to overcome it as well.
