Our blinders shut out everything except me, me, me and my, my, my. We so easily forget the elephant in the room – other people, other animals, other birds, other fish, other insects, and mother earth. Not only do we shut everyone else out, but occasionally when we do acknowledge them, we separate them into “us” and “them.” We create artificial silos by discriminating between those we feel help us, and those we feel threaten us. All this based on faulty incomplete information, and only concepts. By acting in this way, we silo and become lonely. We withdraw and become suspicious and paranoid. All this misery coming from faulty incomplete understanding based on secondhand concepts. Watch out for faulty deceiving appearances!
