We make things complicated. Actually, things are easy. We tend to over-think. We get distracted and cannot maintain focus. We get anxious and agitated. We forget to allow the mind and heart to settle and relax, while remaining alert and awake. With this foundation, things become easier, even the challenging ones. We can be our own worst enemy making things more complicated. Being anxious, and constantly distracted here and there like a monkey, makes things complicated. Be silent; be present; be awake. Make this day special. Happy Vesak Day celebrating Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana!
