We often make a big deal about differences. Politics often exploit these differences. But in reality, we are all the same. Each one of us 7.8 billion human beings on this earth wants to be happy. This is not only true of human beings, but animals as well. Differences of gender, race, country of origin, physical characteristics, and others are present. But these are superficial. We are all born in the same way. We all die in the same way. We live our lives differently, but deep down we all want peace of mind with no disturbance. Recognizing this, naturally our inborn compassion grows. With training, our compassion grows further. We learn to treat others as actual sisters and brothers.
