The opportunities to practice gratitude are endless. Every time we breath in is a cause for celebration. We are still alive. Hurray! Feel grateful. When we move our lips and intelligible sound comes out, this is another cause for celebration. We are able to talk. Hurray! Again, feel grateful. When we take in some food, chew, swallow, and it goes down. Hurray! Once again, feel gratitude. Standing up, sitting down, and walking are all causes for celebration. This complicated system of neural networks, the brain, the peripheral nervous system, the muscles, joints, and soft tissues all working in sync, is yet another cause for celebration. Once again, feel gratitude. We take all of these things for granted, but one day they will cease functioning. Please feel gratitude while the body and mind are functioning.
