Lhabab Düchen in Tibetan

Today after teaching his mother in Indra’s heaven for 3 months repaying her kindness, Shakyamuni Buddha returned to earth to teach and guide us. Today is one of the most important days in the Buddhist calendar. It is known in Tibetan as Lhabab Düchen, celebrating Shakyamuni Buddha’s coming back down to teach us all. Our positive, as well as our negative, actions are multiplied 10 million times. Please take care, especially today, to avoid harming others and yourself. Be gentle. Be kind. Be helpful. Cultivate gratitude. Forgive. Be generous. Be patient. Avoid harm. Continue your practice. Stay focused on beneficial thoughts. Go deeper below the surface of ordinary reality recognizing appearances to be false. Recognize that things appearing to exist isolated, alone, independent of our minds intrinsically, just cannot be!
