Jealousy is like a rotten apple at the bottom of the barrel. It destroys our happiness, often leading to suspicion, and cynicism. The world looks bleak and dark. Usually we do not recognize jealousy as it is in the background. Paying attention to our inner world we begin to recognize negative judgment and jealousy. Then we can change. We can practice appreciation. We can feel happy for others’ success. The heart opens and we feel inner peace. Our fondness for others grows. More genuine friendships arise. Meaning is restored in our life.
