In our modern age we tend to lack “stick-to-it-ness.” We need quick fixes. We give up easily. When obstacles arise, we often lack the tenacity to persist and hence develop the habit toward laziness. This only reinforces our not getting the job done. Resilience gives us strength we never thought we had. It’s like the reserve tank of gas in my old VW bug when the gauge showed empty. So when we are performing beneficial activities, NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP!
