Try to maintain balance regardless of the outer or inside circumstances. Step back mentally and take a few deep breaths – no knee-jerk reactions. Yet no suppressing emotions either. Be wise. Be compassionate. Give consideration to your next move, always with understanding wellbeing of yourself and the other person. This is self-care. This is self-compassion.
