Gratitude is the like the rays of the sun. It makes everything shine, our heart, the environment, as well as others. It puts a positive, realistic spin on everything. Gratitude buffers us against spiraling down into self-doubt, anxiety, and depression. It guards against sarcasm and cynicism. It keeps our head above water – soaking the rays of the sun. We can practice gratitude at any time – grateful for the next breath, grateful for the next step, grateful for the next thought, and grateful for the next word. Feeling gratitude is like Tinkerbell’s magic dust that makes everything magically sparkle, including our heart and mind.
