Gratitude

Gratitude makes us smile both with our face and from our heart. Even for little things — feeling grateful for the next breath or for the next step. These things make us feel well; they open our heart and make us feel happy. Gratitude also lifts us out of our downward spiral wallowing in our own stuff. It focuses our attention toward the positive, grounding us in the present. Feeling grateful nourishes our soul and recharges our batteries. Starting and finishing our day with gratitude makes the sun shine, even on a rainy day, throughout the day. Smiles appear naturally, not only on our face but also on those around us. It is infectious.
