May I regard him as my sublime master

We are moving along in our journey towards cultivate more love and compassion directed to ourselves and others through this awesome classic short text written about 1000 years ago on cultivating compassion. Verse 6 from this text, ‘8 Verses of Mind Training’ by Langri Thangpa,’ reads:
“When someone whom I have helped
With much hope and expectation
Hurts me deeply and unjustifiably,
May I regard him as my sublime master.”
This verse is all about developing our compassion deeper, going out equally to ALL, regardless of how they treat us. Embedded in this is humility. Even if someone close hurts us deeply, we still feel for their pain, and take it so personally.
