It is important to believe in ourselves, but not too much! The balance is believing in ourself but not over-inflating into arrogance thinking we are better, smarter, more beautiful than others. Self-confidence inspires us. Humility keeps us courageous able to act when necessary. Humility brings genuine lasting friendships. It keeps us transparent as there is nothing to hide. Transparency and honesty keep us calm allowing for a good night sleep. Others respect these qualities and are ready to help when needed. Humility helps us navigate turbulent waters, challenges that we all face at times. It keeps us from drowning by having the courage and strength to act, when we are ready. This is resilience. The great leaders, like HH Dalai Lama, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Saint Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, and others were all humble and resilient. They are great role models.
