Quieting the mind and allowing it to deeply relax and settle into the present moment is strong medicine. Since we are used to doing the opposite, of following imaginary “what if” stories in the future or reliving dead historical clips from the past, it is not easy. Training becomes paramount. Just like training the body for athletics, training the mind requires regular effort. It is important to persist, even on “dark gloomy” days and make it a regular part of our routine. Once we get some time in the saddle and experience under our belt it becomes easier. Becoming healthy is never an easy task. Yet the benefits are astronomical!
