A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER OF HUMAN VALUES INSTITUTE FOR 2014
The purpose of our founding the Human Values Institute coincides with His Holiness’ dream for humanity. He said,
“I have always had one dream: that within this century the world would become a really happy human family. In order to achieve this we need a sense of oneness with humanity. This oneness can be achieved through education directed at enhancing a more holistic and realistic outlook and thinking. I have confidence that through education, and through awareness, that we can develop a sense of oneness with humanity. Then the very basis for violence, and the very basis for war, is removed. Then this new twenty-first century can be a century of peace, and of nonviolence.”
The Human Values Institute was founded three years ago on these same principles of respect for others regardless of their views. This does not mean agreeing with everyone. Rather to respectfully disagree. Through this mutual respect, closeness towards others is cultivated. Through closeness towards others, more genuine friendships are developed. In this way more harmony permeates our families and communities.
We at the Human Values Institute are devoting our lives towards these goals. Kindly join us.
Wishes for a healthy and successful 2014. May all your wishes come true and may you find true inner calm and peace.
Respectfully,
Barry Kerzin / Tenzin Choerab
