Three days ago, we completed a 2-day meditation retreat in Tokyo, meditating on compassion, wisdom, non-distraction, awareness, and walking. The subtle lasting bliss that slowly develops with regular practice is nourishing, feeling that everything is just fine. The excitement of winning the lottery is over soon. The tax-man comes; false friends come. Worry about losing the money comes. Sleepless nights worrying about how to spend the money come. Inner peace and joy are much better. So, practice, practice, and practice.
