When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Recently a friend died peacefully, only diagnosed months before with a terminal illness. He was tough, inside. His heart was filled with love and a sense of moving on into the formless realm. Examples like these bring courage and strength to us all. When the chips are down, we can be tough, strong, and courageous. Love is the equalizer. Love for others as well as love for ourself brings strength and courage to handle anything that arises, even our own death.
