Barchey in Tibetan means obstacle. Have you ever had a day that started on the wrong foot and continued that way throughout the day? Sometimes this is due to barchey. It can be a powerful force, yet often invisible. There is often not much we can do about it except wait it out patiently. We can also deepen our commitment to practicing more kindness, towards ourselves and others. This will reduce future barchey. Yesterday was such a day for me. Finally, I stopping fighting it, and sat down to “see the bigger picture.” And then a miracle happened! Some unexpected friends showed up and helped solve the barchey. At first, I thought I was dreaming, but after pinching myself I was convinced it was not a dream. Although, one could say, it was like a dream.
