Humility is a sublime way to live. Without it we are constantly out of balance, not knowing why. With it, life is like a hot knife cutting through butter. Life becomes smooth like silk. Life is seamless without roughness. Humility leaves the ego behind. It easily and naturally focuses on the welfare of others equally as important as one’s own welfare. Eventually others’ welfare becomes even more important than my own. I am only one, others are countless. Others are sisters and brothers, so naturally I want the very best for them. Humility is bathed in the wisdom that sees through the ego. From this perspective we work tirelessly for the welfare of others.
