How can we access “the zone” and stay there? What is “in the zone”? It is a mental state connected to the heart abiding in the present moment. When we are in the zone, everything feels well. It is a state of “flow” where everything flows naturally. This flow taps into our natural state. Even so-called obstacles do not feel like obstacles. Smiling from the heart is natural. We feel like skipping. We feel like singing. We feel like a child, open and fresh. There is joy in our heart. Self-criticism is quieted. Guilt reactions are quieted. Anger is blunted or naturally averted. There is no room in “the zone” for aggressive or compulsive attachment. This is the insight aspect of being “in the zone.” Love overflows.
