Relax into difficulties. Don’t let your emotions pull you by the nose. On the other hand, try not to suppress your negative emotions. Just relax. Do not allow yourself to be carried away by emotion. Feel it and let it pass. Observe without reacting. When you know what to do, that is healthy and wholesome, then act. This way we remain centered. We remain balanced. We avoid getting angry and falling into other old negative patterns. In this way we live a life of non-harm, of ‘ahimsa’ or full non-violence according to Mahatma Gandhi and the Buddha. This is the foundation for a compassionate life.
