Freeing ourself from an endless work

Living a life of grace is the culmination of hard work. It is the hard work of learning not to work at all. Usually we work so hard we swirl in a vortex leading to nowhere. Freeing ourself from this endless work is the culmination of letting go, letting go of all our preconceived ideas. It is like peeling an onion. First one layer of preconceived ideas is recognized, and with persistence let go. Then another layer of preconceived ideas is recognized, and with further persistence let go. Then another, and another, and another. This process frees us from the burden of prejudice, and all the myriad assumptions that we automatically take for granted. This most valuable process leads to freedom. Freedom is bathing in grace.
