We tend to miss, or neglect, the little good things that we do or that happen to us. We forget the good things we’ve done during the day. We neglect or fail to remember the compliments we’ve received. We forget to place a warm loving hand gently on our cheek. Remember the joys of growing up, and not just the traumas. We neglect ourself with inner words of “not good enough.” We neglect ourself with inner words of “I can’t do it.” We neglect ourself with inner worlds of “I am scared, and then do not move forward.” We neglect our full potential thinking we are a bad person. We lack the confidence to honor our intuition. Let’s make a Thanksgiving and upcoming New Year’s resolution to take better care of ourself. The little things count.
