Paying attention to our inner life is crucial. In fact, imperative, if we want to grow and mature becoming a better, happier, and more loving wise human being. When we pay attention and recognize early signs of anger, like irritation, fast heart rate, etc. then we know we are in possible danger to become angry. It is imperative that we apply the antidote to transform anger into tolerance. Only then can we grow emotionally and spiritually, priming ourself to better serve others. The same when we notice jealousy — intervene with the strong inner words to ourself to practice appreciation instead. These are foundational practices that we must be attuned to all the time.
