Be yourself. Relax. Be natural. Avoid a swollen head. You don’t have to “look good” for others. Just be yourself. Be natural. Be relaxed. Maintain honesty and kindness. Allow concern for others to frequent your mind and heart. This leads naturally to humility and counters our tendency to think we are better than others. Concern for others also counters our tendency to belittle ourself. Concern for others’ welfare becomes the equalizer helping us cultivate healthy self-confidence. Healthy self-confidence is the middle way between avoiding belittling ourself, and avoiding putting others down.
