When you are tired, rest. When you are not tired, also rest. Rest is important on many levels. It is important for the immune system, and many other systems in the body. It is also very important for the mind. Two nights ago, I flew from Delhi to Hong Kong on a short 4-hour flight getting only about 2.5 hours sleep. Yesterday I spent the day with friends in rural Hong Kong among nature. Last night I slept deep and long, maybe 10 hours! Sleep with awareness. Set your motivation for illusion-like reality, unconditional love, and universal compassion just before falling asleep. If you can, lucid dream. Recognize while dreaming that you are dreaming. Then practice replacing dream content to incorporate compassion, eventually the understanding of emptiness also!
