At times, emotions flood us like a tsunami. We are overwhelmed, swept away, and out of control. Ever feel like this? Yes, most of us have. We are blindsided by emotional swells, coming seemingly out of the blue without any warning. Usually we were “caught up” in something and not aware of the present moment. Had we been aware in the present, we most likely would have seen tell-tale signs of impending gloom, black storm clouds. Maybe, we could have prepared ourself. Nevertheless, when blindsided by powerful waves of emotion, just let go. Try not to get caught up hook-line-and-sinker. Just let go. These powerful emotional waves will pass. Don’t allow them to stay around. Let them pass. Train more in awareness of the present moment for next time.
