Three consecutive fire pujas

This morning Kirti monastery lamas, geshes, and monks performed three consecutive fire pujas. The first was for peace, the second was for increase (health and wellbeing), and the third for power to dispel the obstacles in order to stop to this coronavirus pandemic from spreading further. It was powerful. Certainly, we must social distance, hand-wash, etc., but these rituals done with the motivation to protect all life and bring everyone to the full state of happiness, add an extra dimension. Rituals, when done within the sphere of great compassion and wisdom realizing emptiness, can be very powerful. In this photo HH is performing a fire puja in the 1960’s to purify obstacles.
