Many of us are open to the possibility of multiple lives, of reincarnation, even if we have doubts. The implications are astronomical. Our mind stream, or mental continuum, has no beginning, because the previous mind moment is the cause of the present one. As there must always be a previous mind moment, there is no beginning. In each life we’ve been born from our mother. Where is she today? Look around. Everyone has been our kind mother countless times. We don’t recognize her as she has changed form, taking a new life. Remembering, every time we meet someone, that he or she has been our kind mother, brings new life to the relationship.
