Seeing the other person without preconceived ideas is quintessential especially now. Seeing the other person as a person, like ourself, wanting happiness and not suffering, is quintessential. Superficially we have differences, but they are not important. Deeply we are all the same. We all want inner peace free from anxiety and fear. Superficial differences based in preconceived ideas are only concepts. These concepts come from our upbringing and culture. It’s time to cleanse ourselves of ‘in group’ and ‘out group’ thinking. It is time to cleanse ourselves of ‘us’ and ‘them’ thinking. It is time to become bigger, and think of ‘we’ and ‘us.’ We are all brothers and sisters, part of one human family. It’s time to drop our preconceived ideas and come home.
