Positive mental strength is required for resilience. Resilience during this ravaging pandemic is essential. Many of us are doing more exercise, safely walking and indoor strengthening and flexibility yoga and exercise. What about strengthening and flexibility for our mind? This is as important, if not more. Healthy self-confidence, not putting ourselves down, and not putting others down is crucial. This develops confidence, and with that, courage. Courage to endure. Courage to recognize that others are facing the same challenges. Courage to reach out, even virtually, to others. Courage to face our negative judgmental attitudes, especially towards ourselves, and courage to step by step let them go, recognizing them as dysfunctional. This is taking care of ourselves and cultivating resilience.
