Take a slow deep breath. Take another. And another. Now come back home to your center, the present moment. When you get distracted, come home again. And again. And again. This is how you take good care of yourself. This is where you find resilience, to keep your head above water. This is where you find the deeper, “you.” This is how you practice kindness to yourself and self-compassion. This is the best way to care for yourself. Then remember others. Wish and help them wherever appropriate, come home and be present and take good care of themselves. Be kind to others as if they were your loved ones. They are.
