Times have been difficult to say the least. It is easy to wallow in self-doubt. We often get lost in the weeds, feeling sad and depressed. So many of us are doing this, it almost seems choreographed. When we see or read the news, fear and anxiety about the future arise. Some us avoid the news for that reason. How can we maintain our sanity, and our realism based on optimism? Too much self-preoccupation keeps us waddling in the mud of self-doubt and insecurity. Self-confidence, and the courage to stay strong are much needed. It is always good medicine to remember others and their trials and tribulations, cultivating the wish to help, even if only at the level of wishing. This primes the pump and gets us ready for when we can actually reach out and help.
